The Royal Horticultural Society of New South Wales Inc. was first established in 1862. Being one of the oldest horticultural societies in Australia, the RHS of NSW Inc. has been involved in maintaining horticultural and floral art standards for most horticultural, agricultural and floral art shows in NSW. The Society’s Specimen Standards book and Floral Art Show Guide are used as the basis for most exhibiting in NSW.

Monthly meetings comprise both a horticultural guest speaker and a floral art demonstration; horticultural specimen show bench; floral art show bench and a critique of all exhibits by accredited RHS judges during the meeting.
The Society meets on the fourth Wednesday of most months at Beecroft Bowling Club, 128 Copeland Road, Beecroft, commencing at 9.45am (with all competitive exhibits to be on the show bench by 9.30am). Please see the diary dates and contact page for more details. All members of the public are most welcome to join us on our meeting days. Some meeting have a special theme, with international luncheons, ‘all things pumpkin’ events in October and a special Christmas luncheon held at the November monthly meeting.

(UK). Members of The RHS of NSW Inc. are not entitled to obtain RHS (UK) Chelsea

The Society welcomes its new Patron,
His Excellency General The Hon. David Hurley AC DSC (Retired). (See left)
His Excellency General Hurley joins the unbroken line of strong association between the RHS of NSW Inc and the Governors of the State of New South Wales. Each and every Governor of the State of NSW has been the Society’s only Patron since 1862 and we welcome His Excellency and Mrs. Hurley.
We thank His Excellency’s Office for giving the Society formal permission to use this official photograph on our Society website.
