FLORAL ART SHOW BENCH DETAILS & NEWS FOR 2018


Unless stated otherwise, 2018 meetings will be held of the 4th Wednesday of the month at Beecroft Bowling Club, 128 Copeland Road, Beecroft, commencing at 9.45 am (please arrive by 9.30 am) on the following dates:
                                          

Please note that there is some off-street parking available at Beecroft Bowling Club. The Bowling Club is a short 600 metre walk from Beecroft Station. Why not come along and enjoy a few happy hours enjoying floral art - and great company!

All exhibitors please note:  That horticultural material to predominate unless otherwise stated in all classes. Any embellishments can be used throughout. No artificial flowers allowed unless stated otherwise. An exhibit is made of plant material, with or without accessories, WITHIN a space specified in this Schedule. Painted and/or artifically coloured plant material may be used unless otherwise stated in the Schedule.  In wiring classes please leave design detached for Judges to be able to handle the exhibits. Judging will be in accordance with the Floral Art Show Guide, 2010 (Parts 1 & 2), The Royal Horticultural Society of NSW Inc. Bench space approx. 60 cm unless otherwise stated. The Judge’s decision is final.  Any exhibit placed on the show bench after 9.30am may not be judged. Official judging will commence 9.45am at every meeting. This applies for all meetings in 2017, with the exception of the November, 2018 meeting.  Please see notes relating to that meeting below.

FLORAL ART WORKSHOPS DETAILS FOR 2018


Unless stated otherwise, all floral art workshop will be held at Beecroft Bowling Club, 128 Copeland Road, Beecroft. Workshops will commence with registrations from 9.30am.  Please BYO Lunch on all occasions. $20 cost for the day.


WEDNESDAY 14 FEBRUARY, 2018

Today will be the first Floral Art Workshop day for the year.  Subject to be “Learning the Basics - Part 1”. Bookings necessary. Cost $20. The workshop will run from 9.30am and end at 12.30pm.

Today will be the second Floral Art Workshop day for the year.  Subject to be “Learning the Basics - Part 2”. Bookings necessary. Cost $20. The workshop will run from 9.30am and end at 12.30pm.


WEDNESDAY 9 MAY, 2018

Today’s workshop theme is “contemporary design”. Cost is $20. Registration from 9.30am. Demonstration from 10am to 11am. Lunch (BYO) 11.30am to 12 noon. Practical workshop from 12 noon to 2.00pm.


WEDNESDAY  8 AUGUST,2018

Today’s workshop theme is “Weaving”.  The workshop will be conducted by RHS Floral Art Judge, Mrs. Madhu Shah.  More information will be provided closer to the event, but mark the date in your diary now!

Today’s workshop theme is “Christmas Workshop”.  More information will be provided closer to the event, but mark the date in your diary now!
